Supervisor Fulcher had correspondence from the St. Louis County Sherriff’s Office which stated there were no objections for changing the street name signs for Wein/Wien Road.  However, residents along the road would need to change their address information on all personal information. Supervisor Fulcher will contact residents on the road to get their input. He had also checked the 911 signs in the township and determined 244 signs were needed. The cost for the signs would be approximately $5300. This does not include installation. He will get a quote for poles and installation.

Cemetery – P & M Construction will repair the front interior entry of the church. Trinity Lutheran Church would like to conduct another service in the church sometime in September. There has been no fill from the county. The grass seed is not growing as expected.  Information from MAT about insurance for the church was discussed. The clerk will find out the cost if coverage was raised to $100,000 and the details of coverage.

Hospital – Hospital Representative Mike Enzmann reported a motion was passed at the June 9th nursing home committee meeting to move on with the update and improvement project at the nursing home for approx. $7 million. This is based on a proposed plan submitted by DSGW Architects, which would not in itself require a levy increase. Requests for proposals will be issued next. Timeline as of now is a spring ground breaking. The new focus for MN hospitals is patient and family engagement. Cook Hospital physicians have opted not to allow treatment of medical cannabis at the hospital. Legally it is accepted in MN but not by Federal Government.
