Committee Reports:

Fire – Supervisor Chapman attended the Cook Fire meeting on October 3. A power point presentation was given on road incidents and the need for new fire fighters was addressed.
Ambulance – Supervisor Chapman attended the Cook Ambulance meeting on October 4. Members are required to schedule time to man the station around the clock. Tim Mankowski and Nancy Reing are co-leaders. Dr. Garbisch gave recommendations on the use of inhalers for respiratory incidents. More staffing is needed. The staff did a nighttime hunting incident exercise for training.
Road and Bridges – Supervisor Fulcher reported the roads were in good shape. No wash outs or beaver activity.
Hospital – Hospital Representative Mike Enzmann reported construction is behind schedule due to permitting and weather. However, the building will be enclosed by winter. Staffing has not been a problem. The hospital has an updated web site. Care Center is implementing a Family Council. Financially August was a good month.
Cemetery – Representatives from Trinity Lutheran Church expressed a need for a handicap ramp at the back door of the Little Fork Lutheran Church at the cemetery. If the township bought the lumber church members would build it. The board was favorable to this idea. A shed will be built on the north side of the church next year and then the ramp can be built. There was a question if the door is wide enough for walkers or wheel chairs.
Joint Powers Board – Chairman Aho will be having a meeting with the school in the near future about the school forest project. He will also ask about having township board meetings at the school.
Planning and Zoning – The clerk was instructed to provide the treasurer with the expense report for the Enzmann/Lahti fence issue so the bills can be paid and the account closed.
