Minutes of Field Township’s Regular Board Meeting October 13, 2015
The October Field Township regular board meeting was called to order by Chairman Keith Aho at
7:00 pm on October 13, 2015 at the Field Town Hall.
Present: Supervisors Aho, Chapman, Fulcher, Treasurer Ellie Brunner, Clerk Pat Chapman

The September 8, 2015 regular board minutes were read. Supervisor Chapman made a motion to
accept the minutes, seconded by Supervisor Fulcher. Motion carried unanimously.

Treasurer’s report received from Treasurer Ellie Brunner:
Beg. Bal: $53,402.61 Ending Balance $52,241.17
Receipts: $0 Outstanding Checks: $158.52
Expenses: $1,161.44 Bank Balance $52,399.69
Motion made by Supervisor Chapman, seconded by Supervisor Fulcher to approve net pay distribution report and authorize payment of claims. Motion carried unanimously.
Ambulance – Supervisor Chapman reported on the October 6, 2015 meeting he attended. There will be an emergency preparedness meeting October 15, in Cook from 1-3 pm. It was also emphasized accurate information is a necessity when an ambulance run is made. He shared the videos with them that he took of the previous ambulance training session. The videos will eventually be put on the City of Cook website.
Fire– Supervisor Chapman reported on the October 5, 2015 meeting he attended. The fire dept. is moving forward with their locater system. The first meeting of the month is a drill meeting and the last meeting of the month is a business meeting. The trucks were checked and worked on.
Roads and Bridges – Supervisor Fulcher reported the roads are in good shape. The 911 signs and posts were delivered to Homestead Mills. Supervisor Chapman made a motion to accept the bid from M & G Tree Service and Landscaping to remove the old 911 signs and install the new at $15 each. Supervisor Fulcher seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
Hospital – Hospital Representative Mike Enzmann reported on the nursing home renovation timeline. October 1- Dec. 1 concept design. A mock up room will be reviewed by staff, residents and families. Dec. 1-Feb. 1 detail design. Feb. 1-May 1 – Construction Detail. May 1-May21 bidding and June 1 construction begins. There is a critical shortage of certified nursing assistants. Two senior RN’s are now being trained to perform CNA training in Cook.
Cemetery – The clerk sent in the insurance information. Deputy Clerk Rebman, Chairman Aho and Charlie Scott will meet to discuss cemetery issues. Chairman Aho will contact Lois Garbisch who had emailed with questions about the cemetery and church.
Joint Powers– A concept plan for the school forest is being laid out. The DNR needs to review the plan and provides funds.
Planning and Zoning – Due to a death in the Enzmann family the fence issue will be discussed at the November meeting.
Old Business: No report
New Business: Supervisor Fulcher attend a legal seminar October 3. He will also attend the St. Louis County Assoc. of Townships meeting Oct 28.
The clerk announced the next regular board meeting will be November 19, 2015, at the Field Town Hall.
Supervisor Chapman made a motion to adjourn at 8:12 p.m. Motion seconded by Supervisor Fulcher.
