Hospital – Hospital Representative Mike Enzmann reported construction is moving along. Much of the foundation work has been completed. The hospital offers a 20 minute computer test to diagnose concussions. The goal is to baseline test and then retest person with suspected head trauma. The Heiam Foundation added $45k at their annual event. The only open position currently at the hospital is Director of Nursing for the Care Center. George R. Janesich left 5% of his estate in trust to the Cook Hospital. He had made regular donations to the hospital during his lifetime. The 2017 levy was reviewed and approved with no increase.
Cemetery – Mike Enzmann expressed appreciation from Trinity Lutheran Church for the use and preservation of the Little Fork Church at the cemetery.
Joint Powers Board – Chairman Aho stated a budget for the school forest project will be drawn up this fall.
Planning and Zoning – Chairman Aho and Supervisor Fulcher conducted a fence viewing on September 10, 2016 at the Enzmann/Lahti properties. It was their observation that the fence did not retain cattle and an obstructing tree was not removed. Both parties accepted responsibility. Mr. Enzmann will finish the fence and Mr. Lahti will remove the obstructing tree. The board will not consider the issue closed until these tasks are completed.

Old Business:

Supervisor Fulcher will work on the outside light at the hall to eliminate the motion sensor. It was decided no pole light is needed in the parking lot.

Supervisor Fulcher talked to the new principal at Northwoods about holding township board meetings at the school. This request would have to go through the school board. The principal did express the school is on lock down during the day for security issues so a polling place would not be allowed there.

The October regular board meeting will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2016 at the town hall.

Supervisor Fulcher made a motion to adjourn at 8:14. Seconded by Supervisor Chapman.
Motion carried unanimously.

Chairman Keith Aho
Clerk Pat Chapman
