Field Township Regular Board Meeting April 14, 2020
The meeting was called to order at the Field Town Hall at 7:03 pm.
Present: Supervisors Keith Aho, Tom Chapman, Keith Fulcher, Treasurer Ellie Brunner, Clerk Pat Chapman
Absent: Hospital Representative Mike Enzmann
The minutes of Field Township’s regular board meeting/re-organizational meeting held March 17, 2020 were read and stand as noted.

Treasurer’s report from Treasurer Ellie Brunner:
Beg. Balance: $ 83,777.09 • Ending Balance: $82,986.68
Receipts: $2,150.62 • Plus Outstanding Checks: $79.26
Disbursements: $2,941.03 • Total Per Bank Statement: $83,065.94
Motion made by Supervisor Chapman, seconded by Supervisor Fulcher, to approve the treasurer’s report, claims and net pay distribution report. Motion carried unanimously.
Fire – No report.
Ambulance – No report.
Road and Bridges – The road review will take place at the May meeting.
Hospital – Hospital Representative Mike Enzmann emailed a report in his absence. As of April 9 St. Louis County had their first COVID-19 death. Nurse practitioners and physician assistants are training with physicians in the ER so they are familiar with the processes if needed during a COVID surge. The hospital is closed to all except emergencies. Visitation is restricted.
The hospital is in a severe financial crisis. Many of the staff have been furloughed. A $75,000 grant was received. Also, $248,567.28 was received from federal money.
Cemetery – No report.
Hall – The Clerk will bring electric bills from October – May for review at the next meeting.
Joint Powers Board – No report.
Planning and Zoning – No report.
There was discussion about the broad band project. Things are on hold with the current
Shelter in Place ruling due to the COVID-19.
The Board of Appeal will be Tuesday, April 28, 2020 11am – 12 noon at the Field Town Hall. Appeals will need to be mailed, emailed or called in. No in person appeals will be allowed.
On May 12 the board will meet at 6 pm at the Field Township Cemetery for inspection, followed by road inspection and re-convening at the town hall for the regular meeting.
Supervisor Chapman made a motion to adjourn at 7:40 pm. Seconded by Supervisor Fulcher. Motion carried unanimously.
