The meeting was called to order at 7:03 p.m., July 10, 2018 at the Field Town Hall.
Present: Supervisors Keith Aho, Tom Chapman, Keith Fulcher, Treasurer Ellie Brunner, Clerk Pat Chapman, Hospital Representative Mike Enzmann.

The minutes of Field Township’s regular board meeting held June 12, 2018 were read and stand as presented.

Treasurer’s report from Treasurer Ellie Brunner:

Motion made by Supervisor Chapman, seconded by Supervisor Fulcher to approve the treasurer’s
report, claims and net pay distribution report. Motion carried unanimously.

Committee Reports:

Fire – Supervisor Chapman reported there were 7 fire calls in June. EVOC training was held. The department will be participating in National Night Out.
Ambulance – Supervisor Chapman reported there were 27 calls and 9 transfers. Water training with LVFB on Lake Vermilion. They will also be involved in the National Night Out August 7.
Road and Bridges – There was a wash out on the Maintenance Road and gravel was needed. Supervisor Fulcher made a motion to approve hiring Peter Glowaski at $68 an hour to brush the township roads. Seconded by Supervisor Chapman. Motion carried unanimously.
Hospital – Hospital Representative Mike Enzmann reported Twin Ports Dermatology is going to begin on- site doctor visits. August 22 a day long workshop will be held in Cook to understand mental health stigma. There were only 43 patient days in June. Full staffing in the hospital room area is no longer maintained instead staff is shared with the ER which has been very busy.
Cemetery – Clerk Chapman shared Brenda Tibbitts and family donated $312 to be used for the ramp at
the church. Supervisor Aho will get a surveyor to survey the cemetery as soon as possible. There was also discussion about getting a sexton for grave digging and keeping records.
Joint Powers Board – Supervisor Aho reported there were no new developments.
Planning and Zoning – St. Louis County will have a meeting in Orr on July 18 from 4-7 pm.
Hall – Supervisor Fulcher made a motion to approve up to $6000 for 6 new windows for the town hall.
Seconded by Supervisor Chapman. Motion carried unanimously. Jay Brunner is in charge of the project.
No one responded to the Face Book post giving away the appliances at the hall.

New Business:

Supervisor Fulcher attended the MAT summer training and presented information about elections. Clerk Chapman presented a slate of election judges to be approved for the August 14 Primary. Supervisor Fulcher made a motion to approve the judges, seconded by Supervisor Chapman. Motion carried unanimously. Supervisor Fulcher made a motion to increase the hourly wage for election judges to $15.Seconded by Supervisor Chapman. Motion carried unanimously.

Because of the August 14 Primary the next regular board meeting will be August 21, 2018 at the town hall.
Supervisor Fulcher made a motion to adjourn at 8:19 p.m.. Seconded by Supervisor Chapman.
