Field Township Regular Board Meeting June 11, 2019
The meeting was called to order at 7:02 p.m., June 11, 2019 at the Field Town Hall.
Present: Supervisors Keith Aho, Tom Chapman, Keith Fulcher, Treasurer Ellie Brunner, Clerk Pat Chapman, Hospital Representative Mike Enzmann
The minutes of Field Township’s regular and cemetery board meeting held May 14 ,2019 were read and stand as presented.

Treasurer’s report from Treasurer Ellie Brunner:
Beg. Balance: $ 64,153.81 • Ending Balance: $59,502.15
Receipts: $0 • Plus Outstanding Checks: $1,648.13
Disbursements: $4,651.66 • Total Per Bank Statement: $61,150.28
Motion made by Supervisor Chapman, seconded by Supervisor Fulcher, to approve the treasurer’s report, claims and net pay distribution report. Motion carried unanimously.
Fire – Supervisor Chapman reported for May 2019 there was one fire call in Field Township for a vehicle fire. Also, a turn-out gear dryer, 10 pagers and computer and printer were purchased. The annual fit/breathing test was completed on all personnel.
Ambulance – Supervisor Chapman reported as of April 16, 2019 Tina Rothleutner is the ambulance director. Nancy Reing retired from the director position but is still an active EMT. There is a lack of staff retainment due to salary, solutions are being sought.(pay increase, on call paid, incentive?) For April there are 18 EMTs, 13 are active. 8 First Responders, 5 active. One new EMT applicant. The May report stated the new policy book for the ambulance service is being reviewed by the City Administrator. Two members helped deliver a healthy baby boy at the Cook Hospital. Field Township had 2 ambulance runs.
Road and Bridges –Supervisor Fulcher reported South Riddell had new gravel and had been graded and gravel was put on the low maintenance road.
Cemetery – A motion was made by Supervisor Chapman to hire Jeff Anderson to build a new shed at the Cemetery. The 10 x 16 ft. shed will need a 12 x 18 ft. pad. Anderson will charge $1500 for labor with materials at $2267.88 plus gravel. Motion seconded by Supervisor Fulcher. Motion carried unanimously. Right now there is no one available to work on the church floor.
Joint Powers Board – Chairman Aho reported the trail is in but some roots have to be removed.
Planning and Zoning – The board had no objections to a conditional use permit applied for by Ron Gunderson. The board will discuss with him that it is his responsibility to maintain Tonheim Rd.
Supervisors Fulcher and Chapman attended the St. Louis County Assoc. of Township meeting May 22 in Cotton. Fire department issues were discussed and also broadband. It was reported there are no local funds for broadband. The resources need to come from the Federal and state level.
The next meeting will be the regular board meeting, July 9, 2019, 7 pm, at the Field Town Hall.
Supervisor Chapman made a motion to adjourn at 8:06 p.m.. Seconded by Supervisor Fulcher.
