Field Township Regular Board Meeting November 10, 2020
The meeting was called to order at the home of the Clerk (to facilitate a Zoom meeting) at 7:00 p.m.
Present: Via Zoom – Supervisors Keith Aho, Keith Fulcher, Tom Chapman Hospital Representative Mike Enzmann, Clerk Pat Chapman. The Clerk had communicated with Treasurer Ellie Bruner by phone.
The minutes of Field Township’s regular board meeting held October 13 ,2020 were read and stand as presented.

Treasurer’s report from Treasurer Ellie Brunner:

Motion made by Supervisor Chapman, seconded by Supervisor Fulcher , to approve the treasurer’s report, claims and net pay distribution report. Motion carried unanimously.
Committee Reports:
Fire – No report.
Ambulance – No report.
Road and Bridges – Supervisor Fulcher reported the roads fine for winter.
Hospital – Hospital Representative Mike Enzmann reported the hospital received a COVID grant to install a cell phone repeater for $40,292.The hospital is confirmed as a Level 4 Trauma Center through September 15, 2023 next audit. The Orr Ambulance issue is resolved. The local area has seen a large surge in COVID cases and weekly COVID tests are required for all employees working with patients.
The board approved upgrading to a 3D mammography unit.
Cemetery – Joel Knutson reported on the cemetery – He took the cemetery maps to Minute Man Press in Grand Rapids- he received one hard copy of each map and they have the data to print more if needed. He spent some time at the cemetery searching with a metal detector for reference points and at this time has found none. He cut fiberglass fence posts to 18 inches each for temporary markers and will make up permanent markers using treated posts with a heavy brass screw installed in each.
Joint Powers Board – No report.
Planning and Zoning – Correspondence was received from the St. Louis County Planning Commission which reported the request from Roger Kraabel for a general purpose borrow pit was approved.
Hall – Supervisor Chapman reported Joel Knutson had pointed out the roof on the kitchen addition of the hall needs checked and repaired.

Clerk Chapman reported on the November 3 General Election. Field Township had 194 voters at the polling place with 22 new registrants.
The next meeting will be December 8, 2020 7 pm at the Chapman’s.
Supervisor Chapman made a motion to adjourn at 7:45 p.m. Seconded by Supervisor Chapman..
