Field Township Regular Board Meeting October 13, 2020
The meeting was called to order at the home of the Clerk (to facilitate a Zoom meeting) at 7:00 p.m.
Present: Supervisors Keith Aho,(via Zoom) Tom Chapman, Keith Fulcher, Treasurer Ellie Brunner, Clerk Pat Chapman, resident Elizabeth Chapman, Hospital Representative Mike Enzmann (via Zoom), Cemetery Caretaker Joel Knutson.

Motion made by Supervisor Chapman, seconded by Supervisor Fulcher , to approve the treasurer’s report, claims and net pay distribution report. Motion carried unanimously.
Fire – No report.
Ambulance – No report.
Road and Bridges – Supervisor Fulcher reported the roads are in good shape.
Hospital – Hospital Representative Mike Enzmann reported Doctor Hoffman started working on schedule. Cook Hospital had its first COVID-19 positive staff member. Two staff members with whom the employee had contact are also home quarantined for 2 weeks. Tower Clinic is shut down until October 19 due to COVID-19 staff positives. Greaney-Rauch-Silverdale Fire Dept. has been disbanded due to lack of volunteer support. As it adjoins the Cook service area, there may be additional demands.
A capital improvement grant for $125,000 was received to replace the outdated Omnicell medication dispensing cabinet. Also, a $50,600 grant was received from the department of Health and Human Services to offset increased testing costs in the Care Center. Orr Ambulance notified the Cook Hospital that due to the COVID-19 Peacetime Emergency order, they would no longer be providing transfers for Cook Hospital.
Cemetery – Joel Knutson reported on the cemetery – he will be measuring the cemetery and installing markers for reference points. Supervisor Chapman made a motion to give Joel a $2000 budget for the cemetery organization. Seconded by Supervisor Fulcher, motion carried unanimously. Supervisor Fulcher made a motion to install Joel as cemetery sextant, seconded by Supervisor Chapman, motion carried unanimously. Supervisor Fulcher made a motion to pay Joel for attending the meeting. Seconded by Supervisor Chapman, motion carried unanimously. Joel will check out the possibility of someone re-making the windows of the church as they were originally made and get a quote. He will also look into getting copies of the cemetery maps made from the originals which are coming apart.

Planning and Zoning – No report.
Hall – No report.
Broadband – Elizabeth Chapman reported there is a Face Book page to keep up to date on the progress of the Broadband project. She will send the email with information.
Clerk Chapman reported the DS200 ballot counter was delivered and installed. The polls will be open at Field Town Hall, November 3 from 7 am – 8 pm. The Clerk also presented the resolution to accept the CARES Act Grant which will reimburse the township up to $502 for election supplies bought related to COVID.
The next meeting will be November 10, 2020 7 pm at the Chapman’s.
Supervisor Fulcher made a motion to adjourn at 7:44 p.m.. Seconded by Supervisor Chapman..
