The rescheduled meeting was called to order at 6:02 p.m., October 14, 2018 at the Field Town Hall.
Present: Supervisors Keith Aho, Tom Chapman, Keith Fulcher, Treasurer Ellie Brunner, Clerk Pat Chapman, Hospital Representative Mike Enzmann.
The minutes of Field Township’s regular board meeting held September 11, 2018 were read and stand as presented.

Treasurer’s report from Treasurer Ellie Brunner:

Motion made by Supervisor Chapman, seconded by Supervisor Fulcher to approve the treasurer’s report, claims and net pay distribution report. Motion carried unanimously.
Fire – No report
Ambulance – No report. Supervisor Chapman will contact the fire and ambulance depts. about getting updated reports.
Road and Bridges –Supervisor Fulcher reported all the roads are in poor condition because of the heavy amounts of rain we have had. He requested the county do some blading but their response was “not in the rain”.
Hospital – Hospital Representative Mike Enzmann reported St. Lukes is now the hospital’s software support provider. Meetings have been set up to evaluate the need for grants to build daycare facilities. October 18, the hospital board will have a Strategic Planning Conference. Focus will be results of the Community Health Survey and daycare.
Cemetery – Chairman Aho reported Jeff Elliott is surveying the cemetery.
Joint Powers Board – Chairman Aho reported the foot bridge will be built. More grant money is being applied for.
Planning and Zoning – The County Planning Commission will consider comments on the proposed draft of the St. Louis County Comprehensive Land Use Plan on October 18, 2018 at 9 am in Virginia.
Hall – The windows will be installed. Supervisor Chapman made a motion to approve the clerk buying a microwave for the hall for under $100. Seconded by Supervisor Fulcher. Motion carried unanimously.
Supervisor Fulcher shared information from the legal seminar he attended. There was discussion about acquiring internet in rural areas. There have been area meetings about the topic. The clerk will try to have more information about the meetings at the November meeting. Supervisor Fulcher also shared about junk property – the township can create a nuisance ordinance but the difficulty is enforcing it. If there is a judgement from the county it must be cleaned up and the taxpayer pays for it.
November 6, 7 am – 8 pm is the General Election at the town hall. The regular board meetings November 2018 through February 2019 will be at the Clerk’s residence, 9998 East Lind Road, Angora.
The next regular board meeting will be November 13, 2018, 7 pm at the Clerk’s residence.
Supervisor Fulcher made a motion to adjourn at 6:59 p.m.. Seconded by Supervisor Chapman.
